#95: RJ's Deli

Date Visited: 12 June 2010

Meal: Lunch

Diners: 3 - Me, Wendy, & Alicia

Experience: It's embarrassing that RJ's Deli has been in Leesburg since 1998, and we never visited until now. Years ago they were located on Loudoun Street, but are currently in the Prosperity Shopping Center (same location as Del Rio, the very first restaurant I reviewed!) I'm sorry it took so long, but RJ's is a great place! It's a combination Italian delicatessen, catering, and specialty food store.

I ordered a large "BBQ, Cheese and Slaw" (BBQ Beef, Provolone, and Cole Slaw) - excellent. Wendy got a large special "Ultimate Italian" (Prosciutto, Capiola, Salami, Provolone), which she liked very much. Alicia got a Caesar Salad; the dressing appeared to be homemade, and they made her some Garlic Bread to go with it! RJ's also stocks a number of specialy drinks; Alicia got a Calypso Natural Lemonade, Wendy got a San Benedetto The - Peach Ice Tea, and I got an Arizona Asian Plum Green Tea.

RJ's is another great, locally-owned Leesburg gem - give them a try!
